Career Connections
Our goal is to assure that citizens of the region have opportunities to develop skills needed for local careers. We believe in connecting educators and employers across our region and providing resources to make this goal a reality, something we call Growing our Own Through Collaboration®.
The SRSCRO Workforce Study lays the foundation for this approach by providing valuable tools for local educators and economic developers to align industry and education, attract talent and recruit businesses to the region.
During 2016, the SRSCRO hosted the first Regional Workforce Summit. Attendees said they wanted more connectivity across the two-state area on workforce topics. That’s why the SRSCRO established an annual forum related to key economic drivers of the region – manufacturing, cybersecurity, healthcare and nuclear.
The SRSCRO is committed to connecting local citizens with regional careers through STEM Outreach and Grant Partnerships.
